ZHEILA NAVA

Zheila Nava is no stranger to the restaurant industry. As a young woman her family owned and operated Antojitos Mexicanos Nava, a Mexican restaurant, located in Wilmington, NC. Later while attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, she continued her restaurant experience with a few other Mexican eateries and was finally able to master her skills while at Jersey Mike’s Giant Subs and Sandwiches. Quickly she found herself in the assistant management position by providing speedy and pleasurable service while producing great eats! After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts Degree in the Summer of 2000, Zheila decided to return to her native California. Once again she found herself in the classroom setting this time pursuing a degree in education as well as a teaching credential. Attending evening classes allowed Zheila to find employment by day at People Reaching Out. In her four years there she worked her way up to the position of Program Supervisor overseeing the overall funding and execution of the well known Students Reaching Out Program, which served thousands of Sacramento area youth in the prevention of drugs, alcohol and violence. Zheila enjoys nothing more than seeing her efforts, no matter how big or small, have put a smile of someone’s face. Although, she feels she is a more of a behind-the-scenes kind of gal, she does seem to have a knack for great customer service and leading her staff. As a matter of fact, Zheila is pleased to have found friendships with both deli patrons and staff. In her spare time she enjoys the company of her friends and family, traveling, and dancing! Even when she is “off the clock” you may find Zheila sitting in the Deli having a latte. Because, what better setting than The Fair Oaks Coffee House and Deli can you find two of the things people enjoy in life - yummy food and great company!
